The ADCC World Championship is considered the most prestigious no-gi grappling tournament in the world. Held every two years, it features invitation-only competitors who have proven themselves in ADCC trials around the globe.
Tournament Format
ADCC uses a unique ruleset that encourages action and submission attempts:
- First Half: No points scored, only submissions and takedowns count
- Second Half: Full point scoring begins
- Overtime: Rider rules if match is tied

Men's Divisions
- 66 kg (145 lbs)
- 77 kg (170 lbs)
- 88 kg (194 lbs)
- 99 kg (218 lbs)
- Over 99 kg (218+ lbs)
- Absolute (Open weight)
Women's Divisions
- 60 kg (132 lbs)
- Over 60 kg (132+ lbs)
Qualification
Athletes must qualify through regional ADCC trials or receive a special invitation based on their competitive resume.
